Mental health care and support

High-quality, person-centred mental health care to help you live independently in your own home.

We’ve gained a reputation for providing high-quality, person-centred mental health care and support. It’s down to us working with you to create a care plan tailored to meet your unique requirements, helping you live independently in your own home.

One in four adults experiences at least one diagnosable mental health problem in any given year. Anyone can be affected and at any time in their lives. If you are affected, we’re here to help.

What mental health care does Agincare offer?

We offer three types of care for people needing mental health care and support:

Agincare’s mental health support

Our high-quality, affordable home care and live-in care services give you full control and choice with your support so it fits around your lifestyle, likes and dislikes. You choose the level of support that works for you.

We go the extra mile to understand what you need. This covers not only your care and support needs, but also what is important to you such as hobbies, cultural and religious preferences and your social and family commitments.

A support plan and care worker to suit you

By fully understanding everything about you, together we can create a bespoke mental health support plan and choose the best care worker to help you improve your emotional well-being and self-confidence. We are able to work closely with other health and social care professionals to ensure a seamless approach to your care and support needs.

We match a dedicated care worker to you through a comprehensive assessment and matching process done by people, not a computer. We take pride in our personal approach to arranging your live-in care.

What are the advantages of live-in care?

  • Live-in care gives you one-to-one, dedicated support, 24 hours a day, to meet all your individual needs
  • You can stay in your own home, alongside any family or pets
  • Your professional care worker can support you to get the medication you need and that you’re eating and drinking well
  • You can keep your independence and continue to be part of your local community, with your social life and timetable
  • The companionship of your carefully-matched care worker helps prevent isolation and loneliness
  • Your care worker can take care of domestic chores such as cooking, cleaning and laundry
  • Peace of mind for family and loved ones who may not be local, knowing help is at hand 24/7

We understand that the way your mental health affects you physically, socially and emotionally will be particular to you. Your professional care worker and our expert assessors will continually review your care and support needs with you, to make sure you’re getting exactly the care you need.

Training our care staff

All our care and support staff complete the nationally recognised care certificate. Specific client needs-led training is taught by internal and external trainers and/or healthcare professionals.
